Frequently Asked Questions
What are Paintball Walk-Ons?
Walk-on paintball play is for players that show up to the field without a reserved private party. We run walk-on games every Saturday and Sunday so feel free to show up alone or with a group of friends. We typically split our walk-on groups into a rental group (beginner) and a self-equipped group (advanced). Our walk-on groups usually end up being fairly large groups. This translates into tons of fun.
What’s a Private Paintball Party?
Private groups at Combat Paintball Park are awesome. If you book a private party with us your group will not mix with the general public and you will be assigned your very own private party coordinator/referee whose job is to make sure that your group is being safe and having a great time. Your group will only play with each other, making this a very exclusive experience. Additionally, when you book a private party with us you have the option of using our low impact Paintball Soft .50 caliber paintball markers and paintballs. A private group requires reservations so please call us at least 72 hours in advance to reserve an experience that you and your group will remember for years to come.
What is the Difference Between Walk-Ons & Private Parties?
The difference between a private party and regular walk-on paintball is with walk-ons you will play with whoever shows up at the field that particular day. We split our walk-ons into two groups with different skill levels. We have an all rental (beginners) group and a self-equipped (advanced) group. If you choose to book a private party you will not mix with the general public (walk-ons) and you will be assigned your own private party coordinator/referee who will take you to the different fields (maps). When your private group is playing on a particular field/map it will only be your group on that field and with a private group, you set the pace. You can play with or without breaks, after all, it’s your party.
Do I Need a Reservation?
If you’re playing walk-ons, you do not need a reservation! You can simply show up to the park during our normal business hours of Saturday and Sunday 9am-4pm. For private parties, we ask that you book a party at least three days in advance. Call 800-289-3199 or click here to book your private party.

What Is Low Impact Paintball?
Low Impact Paintball is an excellent way to introduce someone to paintball due to its very low impact properties. A standard paintball is .68 cal while our low impact paintballs are only .50 cal so they hit with less than half of the impact of the standard .68 cal paintballs. Most people tolerate the .68 cal paintballs very well once they have had a chance to get hit and realize that they feel like getting whipped with a towel. The low impact .50 cal paintballs are a great way to ease into the sport. Our low impact option is only available for private parties. This is because in order for it to be fair everyone in the group must be using the same equipment. It would not be fair to match .68 cal markers against .50 cal markers, so we don’t.
What Is Open Play / Walk Ons?
Open play is basically a pickup game that any individual or group of players can join in and out of at any time. There are no reservations required! You can show up by yourself or with a group, just remember that you will be mixing in with the other Open Play / Walk On players (which usually mean big games and BIG fun!). We do separate our guests with rental equipment from our self-equipped guests. So we will typically have two groups beginner and advanced. Our guests with rental equipment are free to test their skills by joining our advanced group, but the advanced self-equipped players are limited to the advanced group. Our goal is to make paintball fun for everyone and we feel that separating the beginners from the advanced players gives the beginners a better opportunity to get a feel for the sport and have a great time.
Combat Paintball park staff members will rotate games on all of our different playing fields throughout the day. In between every set of games, there will be a chance for players to reload, refill their air tanks, drink water etc. before another game starts. We do not break for lunch. Games at Combat are carried out throughout the day without any prolonged break. You yourself are free to take a break anytime you like, but we keep the games going all day long. You came here to play paintball, not sit and watch your friends eat, so that is what we are going to give you. Paintball and more paintball!
Open Play / Walk-Ons are for standard .68 cal paintball only at this time. We do not offer Low Impact Open Play (remember we like things to be fair), to play Low Impact you just need to make a private party reservation.
What Days / Times Can I Book a Private Party?
You can reserve a private group whenever is most convenient for you! For groups of 10 or more, you can reserve Combat Paintball Park any day of the week. All we require is at least 72 hours notice on your reservation so we can work out staffing etc
Is There Food or Shopping Nearby?
Combat Paintball Park is conveniently located only minutes from many gas and convenience stores. The food options include McDonald's, Starbucks, Subway, Foster Freeze, Denny’s, El Pollo Loco, and many more. For the ultimate convenience, the local Domino’s pizza delivers directly to the paintball field. We also offer drinks such as water, Gatorade, soda, and energy drinks at our sign-up booth.
Can I Bring My Own Paintballs?
If you are using your own equipment you are free to use your own paintballs. However, if you are using our equipment we ask that you only use paintballs purchased from Combat Paintball park. Any player caught using outside paintballs not sold by Combat Paintball Park in our rental equipment will be ejected immediately without refund and may be subject to a permanent ban from our paintball park. We kindly ask that you respect our equipment and our rules.
What Should I Wear?
We recommend wearing long pants, long sleeves, old shoes, and a beanie or hat. The paintball splats will usually wash out of your clothes (depending on the fabric), but your knees and elbows will definitely touch the ground, we’d hate for you to get dirt and paint stains on your nice jeans! We do offer coveralls for purchase at our signup booth.
How Many Paintballs Will I Shoot?
This really depends on how trigger-happy you are. Most players will shoot between 500 – 1,000 paintballs in a 3 hour period.
What Do I Need to Rent Equipment?
All players renting equipment are required to provide a valid driver's license or credit card. Parents can put multiple rentals on one form of ID! Make sure to return your equipment at the end of the day to get your ID or credit card back! Please keep track of the equipment you rent. If you lose any of the equipment that you have rented from us you will be charged for it.
Do I Need to Fill Out a Waiver?
YES! For our safety and yours, all players are required to fill out a waiver every time they play paintball at Combat Paintball Park. You can go to our website and fill the waiver out ahead of time in order to streamline your sign-in experience. You can always fill the waiver out when you get to the park, but we are sure that you would rather be playing paintball than filling out waivers, so we try to do everything to make your visit as smooth as possible. Parents (or the child's guardian that is over 18 years old) must sign all minor’s waivers. One person can sign for multiple minors (for example: one parent can sign waivers for all the minors at a birthday party).
